The course covers the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and for three levels (pre-intermediate, intermediate and advanced)

Individuals wishing to improve their general skills in English, for the sake of work, study or travel.

• Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)

By the end of this course, learners will be expected to demonstrate their ability:

• Relative to their respective levels, to engage in real life conversation with native speakers of English, with the ability to understand, and be understood by, their interlocutors.
• Relative to their respective levels, to understand written texts by sifting the information needed, to differentiate between fact and opinion, as well as making the inferences implied by the text
• Relative to their respective levels, to write in correct English, by considering the grammatical and writing rules applicable to different contexts
